Michael Bisping is gearing up to leave the combat sports world in a couple of months, but everyone had their hands up in the air regarding a potential opponent for a myriad of reasons. However, it looks like the UFC is finally settling on a potential match-up for Bisping’s UFC London swan song. As just reported by Ariel Helwani, Bisping could potentially meet Rashad Evans in the last fight of his storied career.
A main event fight between Michael Bisping & Rashad Evans is on the table for the London card on March 17. It’s currently being discussed/considered but not finalized yet. A decision will be made soon. Would be a rematch of UFC 78’s headliner, which Evans won via split decision.

The former champ already went on record saying he wouldn’t give Vitor Belfort the satisfaction of a fight. Yoel Romero and Luke Rockhold are booked for an interim middleweight title fight with Robert Whittaker in the line to unify next. Longtime rival Dan Henderson is retired. Anderson Silva is ineligible to redeem himself against he and Bisping’s incredible fight. The only big names even left for Michael Bisping would have potentially been Chris Weidman or Nick Diaz. Either those were ruled out completely for one reason or another, or the various parties involved weren’t interested. Still, Rashad Evans is a pretty good choice.
Rashad Evans dealt Michael Bisping the first loss in his entire career back at UFC 78, ending Bisping’s 14-fight win streak. There’s a story there in Bisping attempting to resolve that loss as he steps away from the sport. As we all know, the brash English veteran was on a helluva streak until losing his middleweight title to Georges St-Pierre, then getting finished by Kelvin Gastelum. Evans has only won two of his last six fights, his last victories in the Octagon being Dan Henderson and Chael Sonnen.
