VIDEO | The two takedowns everyone should know for No-Gi & MMA

Dennis Kang

While all MMA fights and JiuJitsu matches start on the feet, the advantage wrestlers possess is the ability to dictate where a fight takes place, should they be skilled enough to secure takedowns.

In the video above, you can see BJJ black belt Stephan Kesting and Pride FC veteran Denis Kang demonstrate two simple takedowns that every JiuJitsu practitioner and MMA fighter should know.

The first takedown is a knee tap, a very simple takedown from the single collar clinch, with the second one being a classic snap of the neck from the single collar clinch, which can be used to set up a guillotine, front headlock, or a number of other moves.
