A key women’s strawweight tilt between Paige VanZant and Michelle Waterson served as the main event of tonight’s UFC on FOX 22 fight card in Sacramento, California.

Michelle Waterson was able to dominate VanZant in tonight’s main event, eventually securing a fight-ending rear-naked choke in the very first-round.

Below is a full recap of the fight.

Round one begins and Waterson throws a side kick to start. Paige comes forward and misses with a low kick. Michelle with another side kick. Paige comes forward with punches. Waterson with another side kick and Paige circles out. VanZant is utilizing a lot of movement here. Michelle catches her with a right hand. Paige clinches up and looks to score a trip. Michelle recognizes that ad does not let it happen. Waterson scores with a throw and immediately takes the back of VanZant on the ground. Michelle locks in a body triangle and then secures a rear-naked choke. It is tight. Paige is somehow defending here. She adjusts and cranks the hold. Paige goes to sleep. WOW!
