Aldo went undefeated for nearly 10 years spanning from his GFC 1 win back in 2006 to his UFC 179 title defense against Chad Mendes. In addition, Aldo was undefeated for 5 years in the UFC until Conor McGregor knocked him out in just 13 seconds.
Aldo was not only the UFC’s inaugural featherweight champion, he defended his title 7 times over the course of his 5 years as the UFC’s only featherweight champion.
