A welterweight bout between Patrick Cote (23-9 MMA) and Ben Saunders (19-7-2 MMA) took place during tonight’s ‘UFC Fight Night 81’ card in Boston.

Cote starts off by chopping at the legs of Ben. Saunders responds with a body kick before earning an early takedown. “The Predator” throws up an armbar and almost locks it in from guard. The fighters scramble and Cote ends up in top position. Excellent ground and pound from the Canadian. Cote lands some more shots from top position to close out round one.

Cote opens round two by showcasing some fast hands. Cote connects with a big right and follows up with some huge uppercuts on Saunders. Ben is hurt. More shots from Cote and Saunders hits the deck. Cote is relentless and the referee is forced to step in and call the bout.
