After a three year hiatus from MMA, Fedor Emelianenko came back to competition with Rizin against Jaideep Singh. A mauling of Singh in the first round proved too much as the “The Last Emperor” devastated his opponent with unanswered shots.
CEO Nobuyuki Sakakibara already has plans for the next Rizin show, but confirmed that the promotion is interested in hosting a show in Russia possibly this year.
“If possible, we want to organize the tournament Rizin in Russia as soon as possible,” Sakakibara said. “And, perhaps, it will happen in 2016.
