A lot of people thought that today at the UFC’s ‘GO BIG’ press conference, president Dana White might surprise fans with an announcement about heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko signing with the promotion.

Especially when reports came out earlier this week stating that the Russian heavyweight legend had in fact signed on with the UFC. Fedor’s camp and the UFC have rejected the story, saying no agreement has been met.

Still, fans thought there was a slight chance the UFC could use the big event to make a big Fedor announcement.

When the time came for questions, of course Fedor came up. As soon as he was asked White responded in classic Dana White form.

“No. Next question.”

Fans began to yell with disappointment and White smiled, put up his hands and said,

“If I had something to tell you, we would have told you. Today’s ‘Go Big.’ If I had it, I’d tell you. I don’t got it. What do you want me to say?”

So it looks like the UFC has not signed Fedor…..yet!
