Fighter Twitter feuds. They’re becoming more and more prevalent in today’s MMA world. Fighters will go on Twitter and call out a fighter, or several fighters, then wait to see who bites.
Once a response is given the back and forth usually starts. Each fighter will give their reasons for wanting to fight and their predictions for how they will end the fight, then things will either end respectfully with both agreeing that the bout needs to happen, or it goes a different route.
Some of these social media fights go on for a while and can get pretty ugly. Just look at the one between UFC fighters CM Punk and Cathal Pendred, or the more recent spat between Bellator champs Will Brooks and Patricio ‘Pitbull’. These things can get out of hand quickly.
