At UFC 183, Al Iaquinta picked up the biggest win of his career as he defeated Joe Lauzon via TKO.
The fight went on too long in the eyes of many, with Lauzon out on his feet, eating brutal shots from Iaquinta.
Many, including Iaquinta, who rumor has it destroyed his hotel room afterwards, but quickly deleted the evidence from Instagram, believed he should have received a bonus for his performance. Despite not walking away with an extra $50,000, Iaquinta plans to head down to Mexico to enjoy a vacation.
He spoke at the post-fight press conference:
“I don’t know who I gotta beat to get a bonus around here. I’ll keep doing it. I’ll keep training hard. I’m the hardest training guy in this division.”
“So, I’m gonna keep whoopin’ ass, and eventually I’ll get that bonus. Don’t worry about it.”
“We’re going to Mexico. Gonna learn Spanish. All the senoritas are gonna love me. It’s gonna be good.”
