VIDEO | Conor McGregor card throwing drill explained

Conor McGregor

Ahead of Conor McGregor’s highly anticipated showdown with Floyd Mayweather on August 26th, McGregor was video taped working on a very unorthodox boxing drill that saw him throwing strikes at cards being thrown to him by movement guru Ido Portal.

Portal, and his unique drill, caught quite a bit of criticism from fans who believed that the drill was a waste of time when preparing Conor McGregor to fight one of the most dominant boxers of this generation.

With that being said, one YouTube user decided to break down the drill, and explain why the unpredictability of the cards is actually potentially very helpful to McGregor’s training despite the fact that it’s extremely unorthodox.
