Just when you thought the UFC was running out of steam after a record breaking UFC 194 event, you get smacked in the face with a huge welterweight fight with Carlos “The Natural Born Killer” Condit against “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler to set off your New Year.
The former WEC champ at one point was set to face former two division champ BJ Penn back in 2011 but Dana White announced that Condit would replace Nick Diaz after he failed to show up for media events.
Lawler looks to defend his title for the second time after defeating Rory MacDonald at UFC 189. “Ruthless” will have his hands full come fight night, who do you see opening up 2016 with their hand raised as champion?
