“I can make you rich. I’ll change your bum life. When you sign to fight me, it’s a celebration. You ring back home, you ring your wife – baby, we’ve done it. We’re rich, baby. Conor McGregor made us rich. Break out the red panties!”
Those are Conor McGregor’s words from the UFC ‘GO BIG’ press conference and it seems UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta agrees with “Mystic Mac,” who recently said in an ESPN article that McGregor would be the UFC’s “first $100 millionaire.”
Fertitta went on to say that if McGregor can continue his dominance, he feels “The Notorious” one would reach that number just off his fight earnings, bonuses, and pay-per-view revenue. This means Fertitta did not factor in endorsements and sponsorships paid out by other companies or deals such as movies or entertainment contracts.
We will see if Conor McGregor’s dominance and media hype will take him to the numbers Fertitta predicts. But, perhaps a more telling prediction on the career earnings from “Mystic Mac” himself may be a bit more on the money.
