On Thursday, people from around the world caught news of Conor McGregor and his crew terrorizing a bus filled with UFC fighters that were set to compete this weekend at UFC 223 in New York.
McGregor was captured on video throwing large objects that shattered the bus window. However, the UFC released some new footage in their UFC 223 Embedded: Vlog Series – Episode 5 video on YouTube on Friday that has some clear video and audio from moments during the McGregor and company outburst.
After the incident, three fights that were scheduled to take place on the Saturday night card were canceled due to complications from the incident. Artem Lobov who joined McGregor in the mix of the chaos was removed from the card as he was scheduled to fight Alex Caceres. Michael Chiesa was on the bus that was a target and was cut from broken glass in the incident and his fight with Anthony Pettis was canceled. The third fight canceled due to the rampage was Ray Borg vs. Brandon Moreno as Borg was also on the bus and had complications with his eyes after the glass shattered.
McGregor was taken into custody late Thursday and was released on Friday after posting $50,000 in bail. The Irish fighter is now facing a felony mischief charge and three misdemeanor assault charges.
McGregor is set to be stripped of his UFC lightweight title on Saturday night as Khabib Nurmagomedov and Al Iaquinta fight for the title in the main event of UFC 223 in Brooklyn, New York.
