Spinning attacks have long been believed to be high-risk, high-reward techniques. When a spinning technique lands, the result is often devastating, either ending the fight, or significantly swinging the momentum of the round. When a spinning technique misses, a fighter is often left vulnerable.
In this video from the Lebanese Muay Thai Arab Championship in Lebanon, a referee was knocked out cold with a spinning backfist that missed its intended target.
