UFC commentator Joe Rogan discusses the rumored UFC 205 headliner between Conor McGregor and Eddie Alvarez with former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub.
According to multiple reports the current UFC featherweight champion, McGregor, will be challenging Eddie Alvarez for the UFC lightweight title on November 12 in New York.
Apparently the only stipulation that is keeping the title fight from being made official is the Irish superstars desire to keep his featherweight title, this so he can become the promotions first ever fighter to hold two belts simultaneously.
Joe Rogan seems very convinced that the McGregor vs. Alvarez superfight will in fact headline the historic event (UFC 205).
Rogan and Schaub discuss the potential superfight in the above video and give their thoughts on how the fight will play out.
In addition, Rogan states that he does not believe McGregor will ever return to the UFC featherweight division of 145-pounds.
Conor McGregor is coming off a majority decision victory over Nate Diaz in the headliner of last months UFC 202 event in Las Vegas. McGregor has gone 8-1 in his UFC career, scoring finishes in six of his eight victories.
Meanwhile, Eddie Alvarez became the UFC lightweight champion this past July, when he took out former title holder Rafael dos Anjos in the first-round via KO.
