In the co-main event of UFC 203, former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum made his return to the Octagon for the first time since losing his title to Stipe Miocic earlier this year.
Werdum’s return fight was a rematch with Travis Browne, who he defeated back in 2014. History repeated itself in Cleveland, Ohio this weekend as Werdum once again defeated Browne via decision.
The fight was an impressive one for Werdum, which had several controversial moments. In the first round, Browne tried to get the referee to call a timeout as he appeared to indicate something was wrong with his glove.
Following the fight, Werdum and Browne’s coach, Edmond Tarverdyan, nearly got into a brawl as Werdum threw a front kick at him post-fight.
