Former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks (17-4 MMA) took on surging 170-pound contender Stephen Thompson (12-1 MMA) in the main event of UFC Fight Night 82 in Las Vegas.
Round one begins and Thompson opens up with a huge switch kick that misses. Nice right hand for Hendricks who closes the distance and lands an early takedown. Thompson gets right back up however and they break. Nice side kick and then a head kick lands for Thompson. Another big head kick by “Wonder Boy”. He lands a good left hand and then a body kick. Nice combo lands for Thompson who looks to be on his game tonight. Big shots from Thompson. Hendricks is hurt. It’s all over!
