Rumors that Robbie Lawler and Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone will fight at UFC 205 in New York City have been circling for days. Today, those rumors completed their long awaited transformation into reality.
According to Cleveland’s Anthony Lima, UFC President Dana White has confirmed both fighters have signed on the dotted line.
UFC News: @danawhite just told me the papers are signed off on a Robbie Lawler vs. Donald Cerrone match for #UFC205 card at MSG in NYC.

So, there it is. Former UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler will take on former lightweight title challenger Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone this November 12 at Madison Square Garden, in glimmering New York City. Given the pair’s shared propensity for violence, this is fantastic news for fight fans. Just be sure not to blink.
Lawler is coming off a 1st round KO loss to Tyron Woodley which saw him lose his welterweight strap in the main event of UFC 201. Cerrone on the other hand is riding a 3-fight win streak into the bout that has seen him finish 3 opponents in a row at welterweight, where the UFC brass would like to see him remain.
Who do you think will win this welterweight barnburner? Sound off, PENN nation!
