A key welterweight contest featuring Rafael dos Anjos taking on Kamaru Usman headlined tonight’s TUF 28 Finale event in Las Vegas.
Kamaru Usman entered tonight’s event sporting an impressive twelve-fight win streak, with eight of those victories taking place in the UFC. “The Nigerian Nightmare” was coming off a win over Demian Maia in his most recent octagon appearance.
Meanwhile, former UFC lightweight champion, Rafael dos Anjos entered tonight’s main event looking to rebound, this after suffering a unanimous decision loss to Colby Covington in his most recent effort at UFC 225.
Prior to that setback, “RDA” had reeled off back-to-back victories over Neil Magny and former UFC welterweight title holder Robbie Lawler.
With all that said, Kamaru Usman put on an absolutely dominant performance against Rafael dos Anjos this evening. “The Nigerian Nightmare” utilized a ton of forward pressure and his strong grappling skills to control and smother the Brazilian for the better part of twenty-five minutes.
Rafael dos Anjos showcased his toughness in the fight, but make no mistake that this evening belonged to Kamaru Usman.
Following his dominant decision win over “RDA”, “The Nigerian Nightmare” is now 9-0 in the UFC and sits in prime position for a future welterweight title shot.

Kamaru Usman vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio is the fight to make. Book it on the same card as Woodley vs. Covington. #TUF28Finale
