While Conor McGregor is busy making final preparations for his August 26 super-fight with undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, his feud with former two-weight boxing champion Paul Malignaggi continues to steal the show.
Malignaggi was brought in by Team McGregor as a sparring partner to help “Mystic Mac” prepare for Floyd Mayweather.
Paulie and Conor engaged in two hard sparring sessions and at first there appeared to be a genuine respect from both men.
Unfortunately their relationship took a nose dive after someone in McGregor’s camp leaked unflattering photos from the pairs second sparring session.
Malignaggi was particularly irate over one photo which showed him laid out on the boxing ring canvas with Conor McGregor towering over top of him.
The unethical practices from McGregor’s Team prompted the “Magic Man” to abruptly leave Conor’s camp. You can read Paulie’s statement on his sudden departure from the McGregor camp here.
Paulie told ESPN that the “knockdown” photo was actually from a “push” and added that he had got the better of “Mystic Mac” for the majority of their twelve round sparring session.
Paulie continued to take shots at McGregor on social media and dared the Irish star to release the entire footage of their sparring session to the public.
On Friday night, UFC President Dana White posted the now infamous “knockdown” video on social media.
That move did not sit well with Paulie, who proceeded to absolutely blast the brash UFC boss on Twitter.
Malignaggi continues to defend that the “knockdown” was actually a pulldown or push.
The Showtime commentator, Malignaggi, is still adamant that he got the better of Conor overall and is now willing to prove it to fight fans around the world.

Although Paulie says he does not need the money, he would be more than happy to fight McGregor in a winner takes all match to settle their feud.
