UFC star Nate Diaz is surely not letting people forget what happened earlier this year in March.
Nate Diaz turned Conor McGregor’s world upside down when he took a fight with the current double weight champion on 11 days’ notice after McGregor’s original opponent, then UFC lightweight champion Raphael dos Anjos pulled out due to injury.
It was a marvelous fight that had McGregor landing some big shots in the first round of their competition at UFC 196 back in March. Then, as the second round progressed, so did Diaz.
The product of Stockton, California found his range and rhythem and started to land some big shots on the Irish superstar. “The Notorious” eventually shot in for a takedown, which Diaz used to get McGregor on the ground and imposed his slick ground game.
After some effective ground and pound, Diaz sunk in a rear-naked choke causing the UFC star to tap.
A few months down the road, McGregor would even the score with a win of his own at UFC 202 after another five rounds of dramatic competition.
With Conor McGregor’s most recent historic win over Eddie Alvarez to become the first fighter in history to be a simultaneous two-division UFC champion, Diaz surely wants to remind the MMA community “you only lose, when you lose.”
Diaz posted a photo of McGregor with a quote from him saying, “I killed everyone on the roster!” Another photo spliced right below that was Diaz choking McGregor out at UFC 196.
Diaz captioned the post, “Don’t forget 😎”
