This has been one of the craziest months in the history of the UFC. Three titles just changed hands, huge fights are being ripped apart by injuries, Conor McGregor is running amok everywhere but the inside the UFC’s Octagon, and anything that can happen has been proven that it will happen. The latest piece of news is none other than Nate Diaz has reportedly started a fight camp. The opponent and time frame has not been revealed.
The news drops per strength and conditioning coach Jose Garcia, who has since deleted the post on Instagram. This latest tidbit will surely send a tornado of speculation as to who Nate Diaz could fight. Of course, the last time Nate Diaz fought was back-t0-back fights with Conor McGregor. Their last scrap being a close decision loss at UFC 202 last August. A trilogy was originally all but confirmed, until more talk crept into Tony Ferguson favor in getting the next shot against McGregor.
Either division that Nate Diaz decides to invade, be it welterweight or lightweight, will have no shortage of challengers. That combined with the chaos the UFC has had as of late results in a lot of different options for the younger Diaz brother. The thought of possible Justin Gaethje, Dustin Poirier, and Tony Ferguson march-ups alone are enough to get the blood racing, but we’ll see how this whole situation pans out. After all, UFC 219 is still out of a main event.
Legacy…
