Shortly after the news of Rockhold’s injury broke, the promotion announced that Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza would be replacing “Rocky” against Chris Weidman in the co-main event of UFC 230.
Souza was already schedule to fight at the November 3 event against David Branch.
With that said, Branch will now be fighting short-notice replacement Jared Cannonier at Madison Square Garden.
