9-1 UFC welterweight Colby Covington has a history with current UFC interim light heavyweight champion Jon Jones. The two were roommates back when they both wrestled for Iowa Central Community College.

While the two went separate ways since their days at the community college together, both of them have ended up fighting in the UFC.

Following news of Jones’ potential Anti-Doping Policy violation, Covington had a very interesting response to the news and made it public on twitter.

Covington tweeted a link to the news of Jones’ potential violation and said, “Can’t say I’m surprised.”

Covington told MMA Fighting back in 2015 that he and Jones were great friends back in college, but has been critical of Jones’ mistakes throughout his career in hopes that he would learn from them.
