With just 48 hours to go until UFC 200, Jon Jones was pulled from the card for failing a random, out-of-competition drug test back in June.

Jones has maintained his innocence throughout the entire process of appealing his failed drug test, with USADA looking into the possibility of a contaminated substance being the reason for Jones’ failure.

Lesnar, who fought and defeated Mark Hunt at UFC 200, failed an out-of-competition drug test the month before his fight, in addition to a fight night drug test.

Now, according to MMAFighting, both men could be facing reduced suspensions, with the maximum being a year-long suspension. Both men tested positive for hydroxy-clomiphene, and Jones tested positive for Letrozole metabolites. Fortunately for both men, the above-mentioned drugs are classified as “specified substances” by WADA, meaning “there is a greater likelihood that these (specified) substances could be susceptible to a credible non-doping explanation.”
