The string of failed drug tests continues!
Fresh off of his UFC 201 unanimous decision loss to Erik Perez, Francisco Rivera has been notified of a potential USADA anti-doping violation stemming from an out-of-competition drug test on July 23rd, a week prior to his UFC 201 scrap.
Rivera spoke about the situation to MMAFighting, blaming the failed drug test on what he believes to be tainted meat he ate while in Mexico, which is what resulted in the failed drug test.
Interestingly enough, Ning Guangyou also recently failed a drug test, however he was not suspended because USADA has been aware for several years that the substance he failed for, clenbuterol, is frequently found in meat in China, as well as Mexico.
