Donald Cerrone is known for his active fighting schedule as the fan favorite simply loves doing work and getting paid.
“Cowboy” is set to headline the UFC Fight Night 118 card against Darren Till at the Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland on October 21.
With his upcoming fight officially scheduled, Cerrone revealed on Sirius XM’s The Luke Thomas Show that he already has another fight in the works before the end of the year. However, “Cowboy,” said that he does not have an opponent lined up after his bout with Till just yet.
“They can’t officially book me for two. It won’t work,” Cerrone said on the show (transcribed by Nick Baldwin for Bloody Elbow). “It’s just on ice.”
Cerrone just loves getting in the Octagon and throwing down and enjoys reaping the financial benefits that go along with it.
“Not to mention do I love it, but then I just know the amount of money coming into my bank account when I put four fights in,” added Cerrone of his goal of competing in the Octagon at least four times a year.
Cerrone’s upcoming bout against Till will be his third fight this year and will look to get back in the Octagon before 2017 comes to an end. As long as “Cowboy” can avoid taking on immense damage in the fight with Till and stay clear of any medical suspensions, the 32-9 fighter should achieve his goal and make another walk out to the Octagon before the year ends. With riding the first two-fight losing streak of his professional MMA career, you can bet the scrappy fan favorite is working hard to put another mark down in the win column against Till.
