Over the weekend, in the main event of the UFC’s return to Poland, rising British welterweight Darren Till picked up the finest win of his impressive career thus far, putting down long-time contender Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone with a volley of punches in the first frame.

In the wake of this impressive win, Till made a clever callout of another rising welterweight in “Platinum” Mike Perry, who was sitting cage-side during the event in Poland. Unsurprisingly, this callout resulted in a heated, through-the-chainlink confrontation between Till and Perry, which gave immediate merit to a potential fight between them down the road (Perry is currently booked for a fight with Santiago Ponzinibbio).

Apparently, however, Mike Perry is not the only welterweight knockout artist in Darren Till’s crosshairs. Early on Tuesday morning, the rising welterweight star took to Twitter to share his interest in a potential showdown with karate transplant Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson.

Like Perry, Thompson is currently tied up with an upcoming challenge, as he’s scheduled to take on Jorge Masvidal on the main card of UFC 217 this November 4. Whether he wins or loses this looming scrap, however, he’d certainly make a fun opponent for Till, who is one of the only fighters in the welterweight division who can rival him in the striking department.

With his knockout of Cowboy, Darren Till improved to a flawless 16-0-1 overall. The only thing close to a scratch on his record is a 2014 draw with Nicolas Dalby. Including this draw, Till has gone 4-0-1 in the Octagon, defeating Wendell de Oliveira, Jessin Ayari, Bojan Veličković and Cowboy.
