We’ve waited and waited and waited. After the man that Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone said he signed to fight without not even knowing who he was knocked him out, everyone has been clamoring to see Darren Till back in the Octagon except potential opponents. Surprise, surprise: Till still doesn’t have an opponent, but at least now we have a date. The Scouser will headline the first ever UFC card in Liverpool that’s been teased awhile on Sunday, May 27th.

“It’s coming and I’m going to be the first Scouser to ever have done it. In 200 years they’re going to remember my name in combat sports in Liverpool. I’m gonna take someone’s chin off in Liverpool. I want to fight everyone in the division to prove I’m the best and I consider Wonderboy one of the best strikers in the UFC. I want to see if my striking can out-strike his striking. He comes from Karate, I come from Muay Thai. I know I can outsmart him, I know I can knock him out. I know that. I don’t know [who I’m going to fight], mate. Anyone in the top ten if Wonderboy doesn’t accept.” – Darren Till speaking at the UFC London weigh-ins.
Stephen Thompson is on the hit list, would be gigantic for the hometown hero. However, Darren Till is willing to take on Jorge Masvidal or anyone else in the top ten. The UFC dropped the ball on capitalizing on the hype train Till created for himself, but they’re making it up in spades by highlighting him on this Liverpool card. Fly out, buy it, DVR it, do whatever you can, no matter who he fights, you’ll not want to miss this card.
