Throughout the course of the week leading up to ‘UFC Fight Night: Brasilia’ there has been much speculation as to whether or not Invicta FC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg would be able to make her contracted weight of 140 pounds.
Cyborg has been very transparent about the fact that she has been struggling to make the weight-cut. Throughout the course of the week, Cyborg has released several fight week vlogs in which she has given fans an inside look at her troubles cutting weight. As the week has progressed, there has been more and more updates regarding Cyborg’s weight-cut leading up to her fight with Lisa Lansberg this Saturday.
While there has been much doubt as to whether or not Cyborg will be able to make weight, a new report from Ariel Helwani which surfaced Thursday evening sheds some new light on the situation, revealing that Cyborg is now within 10 pounds of making weight.
While the contracted weight for the fight is 140 pounds, Cyborg’s contract allows her to weigh-in 1 pound over 140 given that the fight is not a title fight.
At this point, Cyborg's team appears confident she'll make weight tomorrow AM. She's less than 10 lbs away, with less than 24 hours to go.

Worth remembering, again, Cyborg has one of the very best in the game @LOCKloaded guiding her throughout this. His rep proceeds him.

With the clock ticking until Cyborg has to hit the scales, many are also wondering how such a drastic weight-cut will affect Cyborg’s performance Saturday night when she steps into the Octagon in front of the Brazilian fans.
In addition, Cyborg’s opponent Lina Lansberg has stated that if Cyborg comes in too heavy during weigh-ins, she will not fight on Saturday evening. Given that, if Cyborg is unable to make weight, we very well could find ourselves without the main event scrap Saturday night.
