The historic UFC 205 card taking place at Madison Square Garden will feature a main event bout between UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez and UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor. Alvarez will look to defend his belt for the first time while “The Notorious” will look to stamp his name in mixed martial arts history as the first UFC fighter to ever hold two championship belts from two different UFC weight classes at the same time.
The always talented BrattMamley MMA brings his artistic vision hyping up the historic fight between Alvarez and McGregor.
Eddie Alvarez (28-4) is coming off the biggest win of his career, scoring a TKO over Rafael dos Anjos to win the UFC lightweight belt at UFC Fight Night 90 back in July and will look to shine on the biggest stage when he meets McGregor at the center of the Octagon on November 12.
“I do sincerely feel that [he’ll be my easiest opponent]. Usually when I square off with a man, my heart rate goes up, I feel something. I never felt so unthreatened by a human being as when I was up on stage with him,” Alvarez told Ariel Helwani on Monday’s episode of The MMA Hour.
“I’ve never felt so unthreatened by another man.”
Conor McGregor (20-3) is also coming off another big money fight where he was able to score a majority decision in the rematch with Nate Diaz, which took place at UFC 202 in August.
If McGregor is able to achieve his goal of becoming the first UFC two-weight world champion, UFC President Dana White stated that one belt will be forfeited by “The Notorious.” However, McGregor has made it clear on his intentions.
“They’re going to have to gather an army to try and take one of them (belts) off me, and that’s out straight,” McGregor said recently at the UFC 205 kickoff press conference in the Madison Square Garden. “One’s going to be there, one’s going to be there, and I’m going to be picking and choosing who I want to destroy next. And that’s it.”
