Brock Lesnar

On Monday night, UFC President Dana White posted to his various social media channels, sharing of a photo of himself with current WWE star and former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar. And just like that, the world is buzzing about a possible Brock Lesnar MMA return. Let the rampant speculation begin!

See White’s photo, which was captioned with nothing more than a smiley face emoji, below.

While it’s always fun to imagine the 40-year-old behemoth Brock Lesnar returning to the Octagon for one last battle, it’s impossible to ignore the significant roadblocks that are currently preventing such a thing.

For one, Lesnar is under contract with WWE for a few more months. Were he to return to MMA thereafter, he’d first have to officially un-retire from the sport, re-enter the USADA testing pool, and serve the rest of his USADA administered suspension. Needless to say, there are still some pretty significant hurdles that need to be cleared before Lesnar ever returns to the Octagon.

That being said, White has been pretty open-minded about a Lesnar return, recently suggesting “anything is possible” when it comes to the brutish former champion.

“Anything is possible,” White said on FOX Sports earlier this month. “Yeah, anything is possible. Brock has always shown interest in coming over and fighting here in the UFC. I wouldn’t be shocked if he gave it one more shot.”

Would you be interested in seeing Brock Lesnar shake the foundations of the Octagon one last time, or do you share this guy’s stance on the issue? If you are interested in a Lesnar return, who would you like to see him locked in the cage with? Join the conversation in the comments section.
