Late Tuesday, BJPENN.COM released news that Dennis Siver was out of the scheduled UFC 199 featherweight bout with BJ Penn after suffering an injury leading up to the fight.
While the UFC has yet to make any official announcement regarding a new opponent for UFC 199, our namesake BJ Penn obviously knows what fights are being offered as possible opponents but has not been allowed to disclose any information to BJPENN.COM per the UFC’s request.
The UFC has been working to get a new opponent to face Penn on June 4 at UFC 199 and on Wednesday, MMA Fighting reported that Cole Miller was looking like the leading candidate to take Siver’s place.
Miller hasn’t fought since his No-Contest bout against Jim Alers at UFC on FOX 17 back in December, but will be looking to return to the win column after losing to Max Holloway prior to his NC bout with Alers.
Stay tuned to BJPENN.COM for more updates as they become available.
