Patricio Pitbull believes he would beat UFC featherweight champion, Alexander Volkanovski.
Pitbull is the current champ-champ in Bellator where he won the lightweight title with a 61-second KO over Michael Chandler. Ever since then, people started to pay attention to how legit he is.
After his dominant KO win over Pedro Carvalho, many wondered how he would do in the UFC and the Brazilian is confident he would run through the division and KO the champ.
I know he's right, except for me vs Volkanovski being a pick 'em. I'd sleep him in the first round. https://t.co/54eTltMNJD

“I know he’s right, except for me vs Volkanovski being a pick ’em. I’d sleep him in the first round,” Pitbull tweeted.
Patricio Pitbull is coming off a first-round KO over Carvalho to defend his belt. Before that, he beat Juan Archuleta by decision. The Brazilian is currently on a five-fight winning streak. He also holds notable wins over Chandler, Archuleta, Emmanuel Sanchez, Daniel Weichel, and Henry Corrales among others,
Alexander Volkanovski is coming off back-to-back decision wins over Max Holloway to win and then defend his featherweight title. He has also beaten the likes of Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes.
There is no question Pitbull vs. Volkanovski would be a good fight but this is not the first time the Brazilian has talked about it. He has called for a cross-promotion fight as he believes he is already the featherweight GOAT and only wants to cement his case.
“I think there should be no doubt about me being the best featherweight in the world and in history as well. I put my belt on the line and always defending my titles. I know Jose Aldo had several title defenses but he had pulled out of several fights. He took time off in between fights and lost his belt for a long time,” Pitbull told BJPENN.com back in March. “I think I’m the most active featherweight champion MMA have seen and I’m the one who has gone through risks. So, I think I should be no doubt after this tournament is over that I am the greatest featherweight of all-time.”
Unfortunately, it is very unlikely we will see Patricio Pitbull vs. Alexander Volkanovski anytime soon.
