Anderson Silva recently turned 41-years-old, but it seems age is just a number to “The Spider.”

While some have criticized Silva’s last performance in the Octagon against Michael Bisping, the win for “The Count” has him campaigning for a middleweight title shot.

Now, it seems the belt isn’t as much of a goal for Silva and simply wants fights that will challenge his skills as a martial artist. While Silva is looking for challenges in the Octagon, it sounds like “The Spider” is also in it for the long haul.

Silva told FOX Sports ahead of his UFC 198 bout against Uriah Hall that his future in the UFC will go at least until his 15-fight contract is completed.

Silva signed the contract prior to his bout with Nick Diaz in 2015. However, a positive test for banned substances had Silva sidelined for a year after the fight with Diaz. However, Silva feels that fighting is simply what he does regardless of age.

“I love training. I love martial arts. I love my job. That’s it,” Silva said.

Regarding his fight back in Curitiba, Brazil, Silva is ready to put on a show in front of his hometown crowd.

“I’m very happy. I’m very excited. It’s my dream to fight in Brazil in my country, in my city. My career started here. I’m very happy and this is very important for my legacy and my story fighting in the UFC now.”
