Undisputed cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk took on former WBC champion Tony Bellew this evening in Manchester, England.
Prior to the fight, Tony Bellew announced that this would be his last walk to the ring as a professional.
Oleksandr Usyk is a former Olympic Gold Medalist sporting an undefeated record of 15-0.
Eleven of Usyk’s fifteen career victories have come by way of knockout.
As for Tony Bellew, the former WBC title holder is coming off a TKO victory over the now-retired David Haye.
The Englishmen, Tony Bellew, started off quickly in tonight’s fight with Oleksandr Usyk, arguably winning two of the first three rounds.
The fight was very competitive until round seven, where Oleksandr Usyk clearly began to get the better of Tony Bellew.
The fight would end in round eight, this after Usyk landed a huge left hand that sent Tony Bellew crashing into the ropes.
